Our story began back in 2015 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kevin was just beginning medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin while Joe was in private practice in East Troy. After a first date at Golden Gyros, we continued to see each other until September 25th, 2015 when Joe decided to make our relationship official outside the Milwaukee Art Museum. A few short months later, we moved in together to a small place in Milwaukee. And then a few short years later, Kevin ran his first half marathon, and as a reward for his efforts, Orion the jindo dog joined our little family. After Kevin finished medical school, he matched into his residency program at UCI in Orange County, California, and our adventure continued. Before moving out to California, we took a Caribbean cruise to celebrate, where Joe surprised Kevin with a proposal. With confirmation that it was "not a joke," we were engaged on April 19th, 2019!
In California, Kevin completed his residency in anesthesiology and Joe worked at Western University as clinical faculty. Together, in 2020, we purchased our first house in Brea, California. In 2021 in the midst of the COVID pandemic, we welcomed Artemis into our home, and our family grew.
Now, in 2024 going into 2025, Kevin works in Riverside, California, Joe is still at Western University, and the two dogs continue to wreak havoc in our house - but we wouldn't have it any other way. We continue to travel whenever we can, visiting countries around the world and experiencing different cultures. We also love visiting with friends and family, playing board games, enjoying holidays, and relaxing with our furbabies. Good food has always been a part of our lives, experiencing new restaurants and cuisines whenever we can. So when it came time to get married, we knew we would want to travel with friends and family, choosing the option with unlimited food and drink over a fun-filled weekend of celebration!
We're so excited to celebrate with you! And after what will be over a decade of being together, we couldn't be happier.
